Death Stranding 2: On The Beach introduces a groundbreaking mechanic that lets players circumvent boss encounters without engaging in combat. During the April 14 episode of the Koji Pro radio broadcast, DS2 Director Hideo Kojima unveiled this feature aimed at accommodating less combat-focused players.
Kojima detailed that in DS2, if a player fails a boss fight, they can select "continue" on the game over screen. This choice allows them to skip the combat and instead experience the battle through a visual novel-style presentation, featuring images and text that convey the story's progression and context.
Development Progress: 95% Complete
Hideo Kojima announced that Death Stranding 2 is now 95% complete, likening its development stage to "10 o’clock (PM)" on a 24-hour clock, indicating just two hours remain until completion.
The sequel is set to continue directly from the events of the original game.
