HoYoverse has officially announced the release date for *Zenless Zone Zero* Version 1.7, along with a glimpse of what players can expect from this major update. Titled “Bury Your Tears With the Past,” the update is set to launch on April 23rd and marks the conclusion of Season 1’s overarching narrative.
What's New in Zenless Zone Zero Version 1.7?
The long-awaited answers surrounding the Sacrifice crisis are finally coming to light. In this update, Proxies will uncover Vivian’s complex past while Hugo’s fate is revealed in full, putting an end to months of speculation. Following Hugo’s fall into the Hollow, tensions between Mockingbird and TOPS have escalated. In response, the Mayor has dispatched a special Void Hunter-rank investigator to handle the growing instability.
Proxies will team up with Vivian and venture deep into enemy territory in search of the Sacrifice Core. This mission also gives Vivian a chance to confront figures from her past, as the Exaltists’ hidden agenda begins to unravel. New Characters Arriving in Version 1.7
Two powerful S-Rank Agents from Mockingbird are joining the roster:
- Vivian – An Ether Anomaly Agent who wields a parasol and rapier combo. She excels at dealing high Corruption damage, especially when synced with allies' EX Special Attacks.
- Hugo – An Ice DPS Agent whose suitcase transforms into a scythe. He gains increased damage output through his Totalize effect when attacking stunned enemies, scaling with remaining stun duration.
Also making an appearance is Robin, Mockingbird’s nimble Bangboo partner who throws cards with unpredictable effects. Additionally, fan-favorites Jane (Physical Anomaly Agent) and Lighter (Fire Stun Agent) will return in the Version 1.7 banners.
New Events and Activities
Version 1.7 introduces fresh in-game events, including Say It With Flowers, a charming new side activity where players manage a flower shop, complete design requests, and craft floral arrangements for customers. Completing event commissions unlocks a permanent floral arrangement mini-game under the Quality Time mode, along with exclusive in-game rewards.
