The future of Disney's Daredevil revival appears uncertain following a notable comment from series star Charlie Cox.
Speaking at GalaxyCon, Cox referred to the upcoming second season of Daredevil: Born Again — scheduled for Disney+ in 2026 — as the show's "final season," implying that despite the long-awaited return, fans may only receive two seasons.
However, the situation may not be definitive. Vincent D'Onofrio, who plays Kingpin, has offered a glimmer of hope for the series' continuation, even if nothing is confirmed.
During a stage appearance at GalaxyCon, while discussing his new Daredevil suit, Cox called the second season of Born Again the show's last run. The event was filmed and shared on TikTok.
"There's something we do in this final season that isn't in the comics, making it unique to our show," Cox stated.
Seeking clarity, fans shared the comment with Vincent D'Onofrio, who responded this morning on X: "Good chance there will be a third."

Daredevil: Born Again was one of the most anticipated Marvel shows on Disney+, and Charlie Cox's portrayal of Daredevil remains a fan favorite. However, the broader audience reception for the first season remains unclear.
Much like Matt Murdock, the series has grappled with its identity, evolving into a hybrid of Marvel's original plans for a fresh start and later adjustments to better connect with the original Netflix series.
The upcoming second season — now possibly its last — is the first to be written with the Netflix storyline consciously integrated, including the return of Krysten Ritter as Jessica Jones. At the very least, D'Onofrio's comment keeps hope alive for more, though it may hinge on the performance of next year's episodes.
