This season, the card battler introduces a vibrant lineup of new characters, starting with the newest addition to the squad, Esme Cuckoo. Alongside her, you'll encounter electrifying Surge and strategic minds like Prodigy, all set to shake up the meta and enhance your gameplay experience.
The season pass for May in Marvel Snap introduces Esme Cuckoo, a telepathic clone of Emma Frost known for her impatience and disregard for rules. Her On Reveal effect is a game-changer, pulling a card from your deck, adjusting its cost to three with four Power, and handing it to you like a psychic grenade ready to explode on the battlefield.
But Esme is just the beginning. Each week, a new Series 5 mutant will be added to the card pool, each bringing unique twists to your strategies. Expect to master cost reductions, copycat tactics, and resurrection tricks with characters like Surge, Prodigy, Elixir, and Xorn. Additionally, Captain Carter’s seasonal pack makes a comeback for those who missed it previously.
The new locations this month, Pit of Exile and Genosha, add dramatic flair to your matches. Pit of Exile forces you to rethink your strategy by shutting down big power plays, encouraging leaner builds and smarter sequencing. On the other hand, Genosha sets the stage for final turn showdowns by clearing all but your most expensive card at the last moment, ready to flip the script on your usual decks.

Beyond the arenas, Marvel Snap is rolling out three new collection albums this month. The first, launching on May 8th, is a collaboration with Penny Arcade, featuring Mike Krahulik’s unique variants. This is followed by a chibi-themed collection from Rian Gonzales on May 15th, and a disco-themed dance fest on May 30th, showcasing groove-worthy variants of Deadpool, Spider-Man, and Dazzler.
