Nightmare Crownless is one of the exciting new Nightmare versions of Overlord-class Echoes in Wuthering Waves. Unlike its regular counterpart, this version boasts enhanced Havoc DMG and Basic Attack DMG, making it a top choice for specific characters in your arsenal.
Similar to other Nightmare Echoes in Wuthering Waves, you can farm Nightmare Crownless from its overworld spawn point. But before you can face this formidable spear-wielder, you need to complete the Ruins Where Shadows Roam quest and take one additional step. Let's walk through how to unlock Nightmare Crownless.
Ruins Where Shadows Roam Quest Guide
The Ruins Where Shadows Roam quest in Wuthering Waves isn't your run-of-the-mill adventure. You won't find it through an NPC or an interactable object. Instead, it's nestled in the Exploration Progress menu under the Penitent's End region in Rinascita. To access it, open your map and click on the compass icon located in the upper-left corner, next to your current location's name.
This quest is closely tied to the optional Quest of Faith, which requires defeating four enemies in designated spots within the Penitent's End region. Start your journey by heading to the Resonance Beacon across the broken bridge in Wailing Ascent. Interact with the prompt near the circular arena by the beacon to initiate a battle against a Questless Knight, reminiscent of those in the Silver Moon? Crimson Moon? quest.
To conquer these knights, you'll need to lure them close to a lit Macabre Torch within the arena. You can reignite these torches by tricking Fae Ignis enemies into striking them. Remember to avoid using powerful skills near the torches to prevent them from extinguishing.
How to Unlock Nightmare Crownless in WuWa
After successfully completing both the Ruins Where Shadows Roam and Quest of Faith, your next task is to locate all four Dream Patrols in Penitent's End. Although completing these challenges isn't mandatory for unlocking Nightmare Crownless, doing so can earn you additional resources and Monnaie in Wuthering Waves. The locations of these Dream Patrols are marked in the image above. Once you've found all the patrols, Nightmare Crownless will appear on your map, located in the ruins north of Penitent's End.
It's crucial to remember that Nightmare Echoes require Enhanced Absorption charges, which boost the drop rate of Echoes. You're limited to 15 charges per week, so use them strategically if you're aiming to enhance multiple characters.
