Remember SAOVS, the action RPG by Bandai Namco that was launched in November 2022? Well, SAOVS, also known as Sword Art Online Variant Showdown, has finally been re-released after its 'never-ending maintenance' that started in September 2023. According to their announcement in August 2023, the maintenance was supposed to end in the summer of 2024. However, it took the developers over a year to resolve core functionality issues and get the game back up and running.
Sword Art Online Variant Showdown Re-released, So What’s New?
With its re-launch, Sword Art Online Variant Showdown introduces Battle Royal Season 1, where four players enter the arena and the one with the most knockouts emerges victorious. Assemble your best team, dive into League Matches, and earn Titles and accessories. This exciting season will run until December 30th.
For those loyal players who stayed with the game before the maintenance break, there's a special treat. The Returning Player Campaign offers 5 [Sword Spark] Mito Pickup Scout Tickets as a thank you for your dedication.
Additionally, the Restart Celebration: Six Great Campaigns event is underway, allowing players to earn up to 100 free Scouts, collect login bonuses, and complete missions for epic rewards. This event will continue until January 30th, 2025.
Players now have the opportunity to acquire SSR [Sword Spark] Mito, a Light-elemental fighter, along with new SSR Ability Cards 'Destroyer of Destiny' and 'Seasoned Comrades'. These are available until January 6th, 2025.
