Unlike many contemporary games, Suikoden I & II HD Remaster comes in a single edition. So, if you're eager to dive back into the world of Suikoden, now's the perfect time to pick it up.
Suikoden I & II HD Remaster Preorder Bonus
Digital preorders and the Day One physical edition of the game come bundled with some enticing in-game digital items. You'll receive:
- 57,300 potch
- Fortune Orb x1
- Prosperity Orb x1
Potch is the in-game currency. The Fortune Orb doubles the experience gained by the player holding it, while the Prosperity Orb doubles the currency a character receives from battles. Keep in mind, though, that the main character in the first Suikoden game cannot hold both orbs simultaneously.
What is Suikoden I & II HD Remaster?
The original Suikoden game launched in Japan on the PlayStation in 1995, followed by its sequel in 1998. Both games eventually made their way to Western markets a year after their Japanese release. Each title in the series challenges players to recruit 108 warriors to build an army and combat the forces of evil.
This remaster preserves the charm of the original pixelated graphics while optimizing them for modern wide-screen displays. Spell effects have been revamped for a smoother and more visually appealing experience, and character portraits have been redrawn in HD.
Beyond the graphical enhancements, the remaster introduces several quality-of-life features. You can now speed up battles or enable auto-battle mode. Auto-save and a conversation log have been added to prevent missing crucial dialogue, and the UI has been revamped to make equipment changes more intuitive.
