How To Get Shroodle in Pokemon GO

by Harper Feb 28,2025

Pokémon GO's New Year continues to delight trainers with exciting additions to their Pokédex. Following the arrival of Fidough, Shroodle is making its debut—but catching this Toxic Mouse Pokémon requires more than a simple wild encounter.

Shroodle's Pokémon GO Arrival

Shroodle, first introduced in Pokémon Scarlet & Violet, arrives in Pokémon GO on January 15, 2025, as part of the Fashion Week: Taken Over event. Post-event, Shroodle will remain available for capture.

Shroodle's Shiny Status

At launch, Shroodle will not have a Shiny variant in Pokémon GO. Expect its Shiny form to appear in a future event, potentially one focused on Poison-types or Team GO Rocket.

Acquiring Shroodle in Pokémon GO

Breaking from the usual wild spawn pattern, Shroodle is exclusively obtainable by hatching 12KM Eggs. These eggs, collected from January 15th onwards, will have a chance to yield Shroodle. Its hatch rate is anticipated to be higher during the Fashion Week: Taken Over event.

Obtaining 12KM Eggs

12KM Eggs are a rarer breed, only obtainable by defeating Team GO Rocket Leaders (Sierra, Arlo, Cliff) or Giovanni. The Fashion Week: Taken Over event presents an ideal opportunity to stockpile these eggs due to increased Team GO Rocket activity and readily available Rocket Radars. Remember, you can battle GO Rocket Grunts at any time to challenge the Leaders and secure a 12KM Egg.

Grafaiai Acquisition

Grafaiai, Shroodle's evolution, also debuts on January 15th. Unlike Shroodle, it cannot be hatched or found in the wild; evolution is the only path to obtain it. Evolving Shroodle requires 50 Shroodle Candy, necessitating multiple Shroodle hatches or setting one as your buddy Pokémon.
