Shift Up, the developer behind the acclaimed action role-playing game *Stellar Blade*, has reported a record-breaking financial year in 2024. The success of *Stellar Blade* has been a significant contributor to this achievement, generating an impressive $43.2 million in royalties. According to the financial report released by Shift Up, the company's total revenue reached $151.4 million, marking a 30.4% increase from the previous year.
The momentum for *Stellar Blade* shows no signs of waning, with Shift Up confidently predicting that the upcoming PC version will surpass the sales of the original PlayStation 5 release. The company emphasized that this expectation is particularly strong in the Asian gaming market. In addition to the PC launch, Shift Up is set to unveil a new game titled *Project Witches* in the first half of 2025. While *Project Witches* was announced shortly after *Stellar Blade*'s PS5 debut, it is not the sequel many fans were hoping for. However, Shift Up has expressed interest in developing another game within the *Stellar Blade* franchise.
*Stellar Blade* immerses players in the role of Eve, who embarks on a mission to reclaim Earth from mysterious invaders through fast-paced, engaging combat. The game received a 7/10 from IGN, which praised its action elements but noted that the characters and story fell short, along with some frustrating RPG mechanics. Despite these critiques, *Stellar Blade* quickly achieved sales of one million copies, underscoring its popularity among gamers.
