SEGA Stars Join Sonic Rumble for Epic Crossover Event!

Sonic Rumble may not have launched globally yet, but it's already making waves with its exciting crossover event, dubbed Crossover Event #0: SEGA Stars. This event is currently live and will run until May 7th, just before the game's worldwide launch on May 8th. Sonic Rumble is in soft launch and accessible in over 40 countries. It had its first pre-launch in Summer 2024 in regions like the Philippines, the Scandinavian countries, and Colombia, followed by a second pre-launch in Canada, Turkey, Malaysia, South Africa, and more.

What's in Store?

If you're in one of the regions where Sonic Rumble has soft-launched, you can dive into the SEGA Stars crossover. The Altered Beast crew makes a return, with the Werewolf transformation available for free. Nostalgic beast modes fans can also grab the Werebear and Weredragon, though availability varies. The Weredragon is part of the Premium Pass, while the Werebear might be purchasable with regular rings.

Fantasy Zone adds its flair with Opa-Opa and Upa-Upa joining the fray. Opa-Opa is also included in the Premium Pass, whereas Upa-Upa can be obtained through fragments, which you can buy with standard rings at 700 rings each.

Super Monkey Ball's AiAi and MeeMee have also joined the Sonic Rumble SEGA Stars crossover. To get AiAi, you'll need 729 Red Star Rings. For a glimpse of the crossover event, check out the video below:

Earn Exclusive Goodies During the Sonic Rumble SEGA Stars Crossover

During the event, you can earn additional rewards by collecting SEGA logos in matches. While it might seem unusual for the event to be live before the global release, SEGA has assured that most of these pre-release rewards will return later.

It's thrilling to witness Sonic Rumble's inaugural crossover event, which dives into SEGA's rich catalogue of past and present games. The mix of monkeys, sentient arcade ships, and powerful were-creatures interacting with Sonic and friends is what makes Sonic Rumble so promising.

You can download Sonic Rumble from the Google Play Store now or wait for its release on May 8th in your region.
