Riri Williams Smashes Truck in Debut Ironheart Trailer, Confronts Untrustworthy Hood

by Sebastian May 26,2025

Marvel has unveiled the first trailer for the highly anticipated Disney+ series, *Ironheart*, showcasing the journey of Riri Williams as she steps into the spotlight as a full-fledged superhero. Dominique Thorne returns to her role as the brilliant young inventor and armored hero, following her introduction in *Black Panther: Wakanda Forever* in 2022. Joining her is Anthony Ramos, who takes on the role of Parker Robbins, also known as The Hood. The trailer teases an intriguing dynamic where The Hood appears to mentor Riri, though it hints at deeper, more complex motives.

The series, executive produced by Ryan Coogler, is set to premiere with a three-episode launch on June 24 at 6pm PT/9pm ET on Disney+. In the trailer, Riri refers to her experiences in Wakanda as an "internship abroad." After being expelled from MIT, she faces a pivotal decision influenced by The Hood's challenge: "anyone who has accomplished anything has to do questionable things. Are you in or out?" The action-packed scenes show Riri suiting up as Ironheart, taking to the skies, and dramatically grounding herself to punch a truck, sending it soaring overhead.
