Attention all GoldenEye fans, it's time to get excited—IO Interactive has announced that their highly anticipated James Bond game, Project 007, is coming to the Nintendo Switch 2. According to IO Interactive’s website, this game will delve into an entirely new narrative within the Bond universe, offering players a fresh take on the iconic spy.
"Players will step into the shoes of the world's favorite Secret Agent to earn their 00 status in the very first James Bond origin story," the developer shared, setting the stage for what promises to be an exhilarating journey into Bond's beginnings.
In an insightful interview with IGN back in October, IO Interactive's Head, Hakan Abrak, expressed enthusiasm about crafting an original story for the legendary spy. "What's exciting about that project is that we actually got to do an original story. So it's not a gamification of a movie," he explained. Abrak highlighted the project's ambition, noting, "It's completely beginning and becoming a story, hopefully for a big trilogy out there in the future. And equally important and exciting, it's a new Bond. It's a Bond we built from the ground up for gamers. It's extremely exciting with all the tradition and all the history there is there together to work on this together with the family of creating a young Bond for gamers; a Bond that the gamers can call their own and grow with."
