Fumi Games and PlaySide Studio unveil new details for their upcoming title, MOUSE: P.I. For Hire, a first-person shooter boasting a striking 1930s cartoon aesthetic.

Stepping into the shoes of private investigator Jack Pepper, players will unravel intriguing mysteries within a vibrant, jazz-infused world brimming with dynamic action. A key highlight, emphasized on the game's official X account, is the complete absence of microtransactions:

"MOUSE: P.I. For Hire will NOT contain microtransactions. We are creating a stunning single-player shooter full of noir atmosphere and explosive combat scenes that we put our hearts into creating."

This commitment to a microtransaction-free experience is noteworthy, particularly within the indie single-player shooter market. The developers' bold statement serves as a further spotlight on their unique creation.

Inspired by the charm of 1930s rubber hose animation, MOUSE: P.I. For Hire delivers a distinctive visual style, transporting players to a nostalgic era. Players will navigate a city steeped in noir atmosphere, confronting mobs, gangs, and nefarious figures. A diverse arsenal of weapons, power-ups, and explosives will be at their disposal as they combat corrupt politicians and strive for justice amidst the city's chaotic energy. The game cleverly blends classic FPS mechanics with a humorous twist, featuring whimsical weaponry, a unique health system, and cartoonish enemies.

While a precise release date remains unannounced, MOUSE: P.I. For Hire is slated for a 2025 launch.
