Capcom has unveiled the first details of Monster Hunter Wilds' initial major patch, set to launch in early April. Following the game's monumental release, Capcom shared insights into Title Update 1 via a Steam post. They emphasized that the early April rollout, just over a month after the game's debut, "will give hunters enough time to prepare for the new content, and challenges, that await them."
Title Update 1 is set to ramp up the challenge for players: "Prepare your gear, and resolve, hunters!" Capcom announced. "TU1 will bring with it a monster of formidable strength at a level above Tempered!" Additionally, a new, challenging monster will be introduced with this update.
One of the most intriguing additions with Title Update 1 is a new endgame gathering spot. "A new place to meet, communicate, have meals together and more with other hunters will be added to Monster Hunter Wilds in TU1!" Capcom stated. "This area will be available to hunters who have completed the main story, so get hunting and be ready!"
The announcement of this endgame social hub has elicited mixed responses from the community. While some are excited about the addition, others question its absence at the game's launch. This new area resembles the Gathering Hubs of previous Monster Hunter titles, yet Capcom has opted not to use that term here. Despite the ability for other players to visit your camp, Monster Hunter Wilds lacks a central social hub, and this new feature is expected to bridge that gap.
Capcom has also released a set of images showcasing the new gathering spot:
