Peep Demo Theater Returns

MGS Delta Peep Demo Theater Returning As Revealed by ESRB Rating

Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater (MGS Delta) has been rated M for Mature by the ESRB, confirming the faithful recreation of the original game, including the return of the Peep Demo Theater. This feature, initially seen in Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater’s Subsistence and HD Collection versions, showcases all cutscenes featuring the female spy EVA in her underwear. Players can manipulate the camera freely and zoom in on any part of her body. Unlocking this mode requires collecting all other cutscenes in the Demo Theater, necessitating four complete playthroughs of the game.

While the Mature rating aligns with the game's themes of violence and gore, as players navigate the role of an elite soldier behind enemy lines, the return of the Peep Demo Theater, often referred to as "Creepy mode," was unexpected. Its controversial and sexual nature had led many fans to believe it would not make a comeback.

Faster Camouflage System

In other exciting news, MGS Delta introduces a streamlined camouflage system. A post from METAL GEAR OFFICIAL on Twitter (X) on March 28 showcased a video demonstrating the enhanced process for changing camouflage. The post highlighted, "Change camouflage for faces, uniforms, and more on the fly with this new feature in METAL GEAR SOLID Δ: SNAKE EATER."

The video revealed that players can now switch their camouflage in under three seconds, a significant improvement from the original game's slower method. In MGS3, changing camouflage required pausing the game, navigating through menus, and selecting from the Camo section, which disrupted the game’s pacing and immersion, particularly during stealth segments.

As the launch of MGS Delta approaches, fans are eagerly anticipating the remake, expecting both the return of beloved features and quality-of-life enhancements that will enrich their gaming experience. Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater is slated for release on August 26, 2025, on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC.
