"Letterlike: A New Word Game Blending Balatro and Scrabble!"

Word game enthusiasts have a fresh challenge on their hands with the launch of Letterlike, a roguelike word game that blends the strategic depth of Balatro with the classic word-building fun of Scrabble. This innovative mix of vocabulary prowess and roguelike randomness offers a unique gaming experience that's truly one-of-a-kind!

Make Words in Letterlike

Letterlike is a roguelike game, meaning each playthrough presents a new set of letters and challenges, all generated procedurally. This results in endless possibilities and, ultimately, endless victories.

You begin each game with a selection of letters, and your objective is to form meaningful words, accumulate points, and progress through levels. Each level consists of three rounds.

To advance, you must score enough points by crafting impressive words, similar to Scrabble. You have five attempts (or lives) per round, so strategize carefully.

If you find yourself with a less-than-ideal set of letters, don't fret. You can discard some, but remember, discards are limited, so choose wisely.

Additionally, you have access to a rearrange mode, allowing you to drag, drop, shuffle, and manipulate the letters to your advantage.

In the final round of each level, a special ability activates, rendering some letters useless and awarding zero points.

You can use your accumulated points and rewards to purchase items that enhance your runs. Some buffs are automatically applied, while others are unlocked as you reach specific levels. Collecting gems also enables you to acquire powerful upgrades, making subsequent runs more manageable.

Will You Try It?

Letterlike is a simple, minimalist, yet engaging game. It allows you to replay specific runs with friends using shared seeds. For example, if you encounter a particularly challenging letter combination, you can share it and let your friends experience the same struggle!

The game is ad-free and available for a one-time purchase. It can also be played offline. If you're curious, you can try it out for free with the demo version. If interested, check out Letterlike on the Google Play Store and give the demo a go.
