Initially released in Japan, this game is now accessible to fans worldwide, courtesy of developer and publisher Phoenixx. They promise an immersive experience filled with nods to HYDE’s illustrious career, allowing fans to celebrate his music through gameplay.
Move, Jump, or Slide in Hyde Run
In Hyde Run, you'll embody HYDE, dashing through a dynamic blend of concert stages and a futuristic Tokyo. The game captures the essence of a high-speed chase across Neo Tokyo, where you'll dodge obstacles, execute wall-runs past vibrant billboards, and collect musical notes. Unlike typical endless runners, Hyde Run infuses the experience with the electric energy of guitar solos and fan-centric details unique to HYDE's career.
As you navigate the city, you can seize various power-ups, including magnets that attract notes towards you and barriers that protect against damage. Before embarking on your run, you can equip items like Note Gain to increase your note collection or a Barrier to avoid tripping over obstacles.
Additionally, collecting crystals in the game unlocks exclusive outfits and room items inspired by HYDE's career. You can even access voice clips from HYDE himself by unlocking the Microphone Stand.
There’s More Stuff in the Game to Do
Hyde Run offers more than just running; you can customize HYDE’s in-game room with memorabilia spanning his 20-year career, from tour gear to obscure references. Hidden items unlock special messages and voice notes from HYDE, adding a personal touch to the experience.
Currently, the game features limited-time content available until June 10th, 2025. The THE LAST ROCKSTARS Costume Set dresses HYDE in an iconic look from a music video, complete with matching ROCK Furniture like leopard prints, vintage trunks, and stage spotlights. Alternatively, the Bat Jinbei Costume Set offers a more relaxed, summer-festival vibe. For a traditional touch, there's a Japanese-style furniture set with bamboo, bonboris, and a wind chime resembling HYDE’s Edyh character.
