by Harper Oct 07,2025

"Canker" forms part of an early-game side quest chain in *Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2*, unlocked after completing "The Jaunt." Perfect for acquiring a mace or extra Groschen, here's your complete guide to finishing "Canker."

Initiate this quest by speaking with Gules at Semine. During Lord Semine and Agnes's wedding celebrations, you'll find him drinking - an ideal moment to approach him. Alternatively, you can intercept him earlier while he's on patrol. Inquire about his past bandit connections and offer assistance in eliminating them. Canker becomes your first target among these former outlaws.

Find and Eliminate Canker

After accepting the quest, Canker's hideout appears north of Nebakov Mill. Beware - bandit ambushes frequently occur along this route. Consider stealthy approaches, direct combat, or simply fleeing past them. Though typically not formidable, these random encounters can drain your health before reaching the main objective.

The bandit camp nestles within mountainous terrain, accessible through a narrow passage similar to the Hermit's house location in the "Wedding Crashers" quest. Prepare thoroughly before entering, as you'll face multiple bandits including Canker.

Note that some bandits may flee depending on your combat sequence, but eliminating most remains necessary. Fortunately, Canker never escapes, guaranteeing your opportunity to complete the primary objective.

Complete the Quest and Report Back

After dispatching Canker and his companions, loot his corpse for the mandatory Light Mace and any additional valuables. Return this proof to Gules to conclude the mission.

Following "Canker's" completion, wait one full in-game day before pursuing the next installment of Gules's bandit storyline - "Handsome Charlie" becomes available when you next speak with him.
