Deltarune is preparing some exciting exclusive features for its upcoming Switch 2 release. Here's everything you need to know about these special additions and the game's pricing structure.

Special Room and More Exclusively for Switch 2
During Nintendo's April 2 Switch 2 Direct, Deltarune was confirmed to receive a next-gen port featuring both Chapters 3 and 4, along with some console-exclusive functionality.
Toby Fox revealed in Fangamer's newsletter that Switch 2 owners will experience a unique interactive space specially designed for the new Joy-Con's mouse controls. The developer explained, "We've created a small SPECIAL ROOM that utilizes MOUSE CONTROLS ON TWO CONTROLLERS SIMULTANEOUSLY - something only achievable on Switch 2!"
While other platforms won't miss out on this room entirely, they'll experience it differently with alternative control schemes. Players can also transfer their progress from the Switch demo versions of Chapters 1 and 2.
Deltarune's Future Chapters Will Remain Free
The newsletter confirmed Deltarune's price point at $24.99, bundling Chapters 1-4 together. Following their initial free releases (Chapter 1 in 2018 and Chapter 2 in 2021), Fox had previously indicated Chapters 3-5 would be paid content.
In a surprising twist, Fox announced all future chapters will now come as complimentary updates. "My goal is for players to feel they're getting incredible value as we continue expanding the game," he remarked.
The complete soundtrack (containing 150+ tracks from Chapters 3-4) will sell separately on Steam for $14.99, with future tracks also being added at no extra cost. This commitment to free updates demonstrates Fox's dedication to delivering excellent value.
