Koei Tecmo has unveiled an exciting new trailer for Dead or Alive Xtreme: Venus Vacation PRISM, a romance game that expands upon the beloved Team Ninja fighting game series. Slated for release on March 27, the game will be available on PS5, PS4, and PC. A special "global version" designed for the Asian market will also be available, featuring English text support, allowing a broader audience to enjoy the game.
In Venus Vacation PRISM, players can immerse themselves in a tropical island setting, engaging in various mini-games, altering character personas, and fostering relationships with the game's heroines. The developers have promised a deep and engaging romantic narrative, offering fans of the Dead or Alive series a fresh yet familiar gaming experience that retains the franchise's distinctive style.
This new installment represents an experimental venture for the series, shifting focus from combat to romance and leisure, while still echoing the essence of the Dead or Alive universe. However, the series' popularity also brings challenges, as evidenced by Koei Tecmo's ongoing efforts to curb unauthorized fan content. Annually, the publisher removes between 200 and 300 doujinshi, as well as 2,000 to 3,000 images featuring the series' characters, particularly those in swimwear, reflecting the franchise's iconic visual style. Despite the affection fans have for the characters, the developers remain firm in their stance against the proliferation of adult fan art.
