Cyberpunk 2077 Patch 2.3 Arrives June 26
CD Projekt Red (CDPR) continues to support Cyberpunk 2077, revealing plans for a new update during their June 5 REDstreams event. Patch 2.3 is scheduled to release on June 26, bringing additional improvements and features to the game. The studio emphasized that more details will be shared in an upcoming livestream prior to the patch’s launch.
Marcin Momot, CDPR’s Global Community Director, confirmed the news on Twitter (X) the same day, urging fans to stay tuned for deeper insights. Pawel Sasko, Associate Game Director, added that the team has been working on this update quietly for some time and will share more as the release approaches.
Is This the Final Update?
While CDPR has labeled several updates as the "final" one in the past, this could genuinely be the last major patch for Cyberpunk 2077. The studio is shifting focus toward Cyberpunk 2, now in pre-production, and The Witcher 4, which recently showcased a new tech demo.
Originally, Patch 2.1 in December 2023 was declared the game’s "last big update," coinciding with the release of the Ultimate Edition. However, Patch 2.2 followed in December 2024, developed in collaboration with Virtuos, introducing expanded customization options. This pattern mirrors the studio’s support for The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt, where a "final" next-gen update in 2022 was later followed by Patch 4.04 in July 2023.
Now, with The Witcher 3 also set to receive its true final update in 2025—featuring cross-platform mod support for its 10th anniversary—CDPR appears ready to close the chapter on both titles.
