Black Ops 6 Gets New Zombies Map
No Amalgams Here
Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 is expanding its round-based survival mode, Zombies, with a brand new map. This latest addition marks the fifth map introduced to the game. A sneak peek was shared via the official Call of Duty X (formerly Twitter) account and Black Ops 6 developer Treyarch Studio’s X account. The post, dated March 12, 2025, showcases an image of a grand mansion, visibly damaged with flaming army car wreckage, dark puffs of black smoke, and fires blazing from within.
The caption on the post reads, "Personal log. Edward Richtoften recording…" accompanied by the "#Zombies" hashtag. Edward "Eddie" Richtoften, a well-known character from the series, played a significant role in Call of Duty: Cold War. As Black Ops 6 is a remake of this title, it's no surprise to see Eddie making a comeback.
Keen-eyed fans have noticed that this map is the Mansion from Liberty Falls, set in February 1991, as indicated on the teaser image. This timeline aligns perfectly with the narrative from the last Black Ops 6 Zombies map, The Tomb, suggesting a continuation of the storyline.
Another exciting feature of this map is the confirmed absence of Amalgam enemies, as announced by Treyarch on their Instagram account. In response to a fan's comment about anticipating "the wrath of 20 amalgams on this map too," the developers simply replied, "Nope." Amalgams, known as Elite class enemies with substantial HP and powerful attacks, will not be present on this map, potentially offering players a smoother gameplay experience.
