Radical Fish Games, celebrated for their work on the acclaimed action RPG CrossCode, has officially announced their next venture: Alabaster Dawn. Originally known as "Project Terra," this exciting new title was unveiled on the developer's website. Alabaster Dawn is set to launch on Steam Early Access in late 2025, with no precise date yet confirmed. However, fans can already add it to their wishlist on Steam.The studio also teased a public demo for Alabaster Dawn, slated for release sometime before the Early Access launch in late 2025.
For those planning to attend Gamescom this year, Radical Fish Games will be showcasing Alabaster Dawn. They're offering a limited number of hands-on sessions, but don't worry if you miss out—there will be opportunities to chat with the team at their booth from Wednesday to Friday.
Alabaster Dawn's Combat Inspired by DMC and KH
Set in the shattered world of Tiran Sol, Alabaster Dawn's narrative unfolds in a landscape ravaged by the goddess Nyx, who has transformed it into a wasteland and caused the disappearance of gods and humans alike. As Juno, players will strive to awaken humanity and break Nyx's curse.
The game promises an extensive 30-60 hours of gameplay, spanning seven distinct regions. Players will not only engage in rebuilding settlements and establishing trade routes but also dive into dynamic combat inspired by titles such as Devil May Cry, Kingdom Hearts, and the studio's own CrossCode. With eight unique weapons, each featuring its own skill tree, alongside parkour, puzzles, enchantments, and cooking mechanics, Alabaster Dawn is set to offer a rich and varied gaming experience.
Radical Fish Games has reached a crucial development milestone, with the first 1-2 hours of gameplay now nearly fully playable. "It may not sound like much, but getting to that point is a big milestone for us," the developers expressed, highlighting their excitement and dedication to the project.
