Two exclusive WoW mounts, the Blazing Royal Fire Hawk and the Golden Ashes of Al'ar, are debuting in China on January 15th. These mounts are reimagined versions of the incredibly rare Pureblood Fire Hawk and Ashes of Al'ar, respectively.
These new mounts are obtainable through separate promotional events in WoW China. The Blazing Royal Fire Hawk, reminiscent of the Pureblood Fire Hawk, boasts auspicious clouds within its wings while in flight, a nod to Chinese symbolism. The Golden Ashes of Al'ar, a gilded variation of the original, features a black saddle and evocative flavor text referencing Kael'thas Sunstrider.
The Blazing Royal Fire Hawk is rewarded through a "Treasure Workshop" event, details of which are still limited. The Golden Ashes of Al'ar is available from Landro's Loot Box, a ¥200 (approximately $27 USD) crate containing one of eight items. Other potential rewards include the X-51 Nether Rocket X-TREME and the Swift Spectral Tiger. Group purchases offer bonus crates.
While these mounts are currently exclusive to WoW China, their availability in other regions remains uncertain. For now, players outside China can only appreciate these visually stunning additions to the game from afar. The return of WoW to China following the NetEase partnership renewal has been celebrated with various in-game additions, including this latest mount offering.
