Techland Expands Dying Light 2 with Free Tower Raid Roguelite Mode

Techland is taking *Dying Light 2* to new heights with the introduction of Tower Raid, an exciting, roguelite-inspired mode that offers unpredictable gameplay and intense survival challenges. After extensive testing last year, this eagerly awaited feature has now been fully integrated into the game, providing players with a novel way to navigate the infected-ridden environment.

In Tower Raid, players step away from Aiden Caldwell and embody one of four unique warriors, each representing a different combat archetype: Tank, Brawler, Ranger, or Specialist. Each class brings its own set of abilities, fostering varied playstyles and strategic team dynamics. For those seeking an ultimate test of skill, the mode allows players to scale down their team size—or brave the tower's perils solo.

The mode is structured into three difficulty levels—Quick, Normal, and Elite—which affect the intensity and duration of each run. With procedurally generated sessions, every climb up the tower is unique. Players must adapt to constantly shifting floor layouts and diverse enemy encounters to survive.

To maintain engagement, Techland has implemented a new progression system where each defeat offers new opportunities. Every unsuccessful run unlocks additional abilities and weapons, progressively enhancing players' chances in subsequent attempts. At the tower's core, players can meet Sola, a mysterious merchant offering rare rewards such as the Office Day Outfit, Kuai Dagger, and Silenced Pistol to those who prove their mettle.

Even as Techland gears up for the release of *Dying Light: The Beast*, they remain dedicated to enriching *Dying Light 2* throughout 2025. Planned updates include enhanced co-op mechanics, refined matchmaking, expanded community map integration, new Tower Raid characters, additional melee and ranged weapons, the introduction of a new weapon class, enhancements to the prologue, and significant graphical and technical optimizations.
