Doro makes a brief but memorable appearance toward the end of the trailer, sharing a playful moment with Stellar Blade’s main protagonist, Eve. The beloved online meme comes to life with lively animation, showcasing Doro in a variety of poses, sprinting across the screen, and capping off the trailer with a cheerful laugh.
The character's origin can be traced back to fan art of Stella Unibell from the game Soulworker, where she was reimagined as a chibi-style dog. The design gained popularity across various Korean NIKKE forums and was later adapted for NIKKE’s own character, Dorothy—eventually becoming known as "Dororong." Dorothy’s charming, chaotic personality quickly resonated with fans worldwide, earning her nicknames like "Gremlin Dorothy" and extending her popularity even beyond the NIKKE community.
Doro’s influence grew so strong that even SHIFT UP CEO Kim Hyung Tae and his wife were seen with a Christmas-themed Doro plush in 2024. Stellar Blade x NIKKE Collaboration Launches June 11
The much-anticipated crossover event is scheduled to launch on June 11, coinciding with the PC version release of Stellar Blade. According to the official website, the expansion will introduce a challenging new boss fight, an array of NIKKE-themed rewards and outfits, an engaging mini-game, and a variety of other content.
As detailed on the site, "Scarlet, a warrior from Shift Up’s popular third-person shooter mobile game, steps into the arena to challenge players in an epic one-on-one battle. Defeating this formidable new boss will unlock exclusive rewards including a brand-new costume, hairstyle, and a special song for EVE."
In addition, the DLC includes a mini-game inspired by NIKKE’s sci-fi shooting mechanics. Players can visit a rewards shop run by Volt, NIKKE’s loyal robotic dog, to acquire themed outfits and cosmetic items. For a change of pace, a relaxing fishing activity will also be available, offering six unique NIKKE collectibles to obtain.
