Kojima Productions and Sony unveiled the release date for Death Stranding 2: On The Beach (DS2) during the South by Southwest (SXSW) event on March 9, 2025, in Austin, Texas. The event kicked off with a panel led by DS2 Director Hideo Kojima, who introduced a compelling 10-minute trailer. This trailer not only showcased new snippets of the story but also provided a glimpse into the gameplay, reinforcing the theme of human connectivity in a post-apocalyptic setting.
