"Shining Revelry Expansion Coming Soon to Pokemon TCG Pocket"

by Gabriella Apr 20,2025

My interest in Pokemon TCG Pocket tends to ebb and flow. I'm most engaged when a new set drops and continue playing while there are Emblems to earn after securing around 40 wins. After that, my routine shifts to logging in, opening my packs, indulging in a Wonder Pick for fun, and then not thinking about it again until the next day. This cycle is set to repeat with the arrival of the latest expansion, Shining Revelry, on March 27th.

Shining Revelry will add 110 new cards to TCG Pocket, featuring a variety of new Ex Pokemon, Trainer cards, and the stunning art cards that fans adore. The most thrilling aspect, hinted at by the expansion's name, is the inclusion of Shiny Pokemon! For those new to the concept, these are uniquely colored versions of your favorite Pokemon. For instance, Lucario will appear in yellow instead of blue, and Pachirisu will boast a striking pink stripe.

The trailer, which you can view below, offers just a glimpse of what's in store, but let's delve into the details. A new Shiny Charizard Ex will debut, boasting 180 HP and a powerful attack called Steam Artillery, which inflicts 150 damage. However, it requires a hefty five energy to use. Thankfully, its other move, Stoke, lets you attach three Fire Energy cards at once, making it more manageable.

Another exciting addition is the new Ex version of Lucario. Previously playing a supporting role in the Space-Time Smackdown expansion, this iteration of the Aura Pokemon is now ready for frontline combat. With 150 HP, it's not the most robust, but its Aura Sphere attack is promising. It deals 100 damage for three Fighting Energy and also hits one of your opponent's Benched Pokemon for 30 damage.

The trailer also teases other cards that, while not game-changers, are still delightful. Shiny versions of Wiglett, Pachirisu, and Varoom are on the horizon, looking spectacular. Additionally, there's a breathtaking Tatsugiri art rare that I'm eager to add to my digital collection.

Pokemon TCG Pocket is available for free on the App Store and Google Play, with in-app purchases available. If you're interested, you can download it for your preferred platform using the buttons below.
