Relic Entertainment, the renowned developer behind Company of Heroes, is set to launch a new turn-based strategy game titled Earth vs. Mars. Scheduled for release this Summer on PC via Steam, this game offers a fresh take on strategy gaming with a unique twist. In Earth vs. Mars, players are tasked with defending our planet against a Martian invasion by utilizing the innovative Splice-O-Tron. This device allows players to create hybrid creatures such as the Squirrel-Cow, Human-Rhino, and Cheetah-Fly, blending elements of human and animal DNA to form bizarre and powerful beings to combat the alien threat. The gameplay draws inspiration from the beloved Nintendo DS classic, Advance Wars, promising strategic depth and engaging combat scenarios.
The narrative backdrop of Earth vs. Mars reveals that Martians have been covertly visiting Earth for decades, abducting humans and animals to extract their atomic essence. Now, they've launched a full-scale invasion, and it falls upon a group of determined commanders to lead Earth's resistance. Players will strategize and command Earth’s military forces against Martian saucers, grav-tanks, and elite alien warriors in a gripping battle for survival.
