May 2025 is shaping up to be an action-packed month in Pokémon GO, packed with exciting events. The highlight is undoubtedly the return of the Lake Trio, arriving in 5-Star Raids across multiple regions.
What Does Pokémon GO Have in Store for May 2025?
Tapu Fini launches the month in Five-Star raids from May 1st to May 12th, featuring its special move Nature’s Madness and a chance to encounter its Shiny variant.
Then, beginning May 12th, embark on a regional tour of the Lake Trio: Uxie appears in Asia-Pacific, Mesprit in Europe, the Middle East, Africa, and India, and Azelf across the Americas and Greenland.
Following the Lake Trio's departure, Tapu Bulu arrives in raids from May 25th to June 3rd, 2025, also wielding Nature’s Madness and offering a Shiny encounter.
Mega Raid enthusiasts have a strong lineup to look forward to as well. Mega Houndoom is available from May 1st to 12th.
Mega Gyarados then takes the spotlight from May 12th to 25th, followed by Mega Altaria from May 25th to June 3rd.
And Here Are the Details of All the Events
The "Growing Up" event runs from May 2nd to 7th, with a Mega Kangaskhan Raid Day on May 3rd. The "Crown Clash" event occupies May 10th to 18th, while the Dynamax Suicune Max Battle Weekend is scheduled for May 10th and 11th.
A Community Day is also set for May 11th, though the featured Pokémon remains a secret for now. "Crown Clash: Taken Over" follows from May 14th to 18th, and a Shadow Raid Day arrives on May 17th.
Later, "Final Strike: GO Battle Week" takes place from May 21st to 27th, and the May Community Day Classic lands on May 24th. Pokémon GO caps off the month on May 25th, 2025, with a Gigantamax Machamp Max Battle Day.
