Pause Game During Quests and Hunts in Monster Hunter Wilds
To pause your game in Monster Hunter Wilds, simply press the Options button to bring up the menu, then use L1 or R1 to navigate to the Systems tab. Select the Pause Game option by pressing the X button.
This feature lets you completely pause the game, even mid-hunt or in combat, allowing you to resume easily by pressing the circle button or R3. It's incredibly handy for those unexpected real-life interruptions that might force you to step away from your game for a short while.
Even if you're playing online, as long as you're in single-player mode with no other players in your lobby or party, you can pause the game at any time.
Can You Pause While Playing Multiplayer?
Unfortunately, pausing is not an option when playing Monster Hunter Wilds in multiplayer mode. If someone is in your lobby or link party, or vice versa, you won't be able to pause. Your best strategy in this case is to position your character in a safe spot where they won't be harmed.
Remember, pausing traditionally doesn't work in online sessions. Also, keep in mind that monsters have a larger HP pool with more players in a session, so avoid going AFK for too long as your team might need your help.
