To pause your game in Monster Hunter Wilds, simply press the Options button to bring up the menu, then use L1 or R1 to navigate to the Systems tab. Select the Pause Game option by pressing the X button.
This feature lets you completely pause the game, even mid-hunt or in combat, allowing you to resume easily by pressing the circle button or R3. It's incredibly handy for those unexpected real-life interruptions that might force you to step away from your game for a short while.
