A The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild speedrunner achieved a remarkable feat at the Nintendo Switch 2 Experience in Japan, where playtime was limited to just 10 minutes. As reported by VGC, Japanese content creator Ikaboze managed to beat the final boss, Ganon, in a mere seven minutes, despite using an unfamiliar controller and not being able to hear the game due to the noisy convention environment.
Ikaboze, who started with an existing save file without knowing Link's equipment, decided to take on the challenge "completely naked and with all my equipment removed." His successful run was met with spontaneous applause from onlookers, and he noted the significant attention he received, saying, "I was surprised by how many people had gathered. Staff were even filming on their smartphones. This was the first time anyone had completed the Breath of the Wild demo, and staff congratulated me."
The Nintendo Switch 2 Enhanced Edition of Breath of the Wild boasts improved visuals and performance, along with achievements and support for the new "Zelda Notes" service within the Nintendo Switch Online app. Owners of the original Switch version can access these enhancements by purchasing an "upgrade pack" for $10. Additionally, both Breath of the Wild and Tears of the Kingdom upgrade packs are available at no extra cost to Nintendo Switch Online and Expansion Pack subscribers.
