Get ready for a spooky adventure as Halloween in Pokémon GO is set to begin! Niantic has unveiled the details for Part 1 of the event, and yes, there's a Part 2 on the way! Brace yourself for exciting features and eerie encounters.
The Halloween event in Pokémon GO kicks off on Tuesday, October 22nd, at 10:00 a.m. local time and will continue until Monday, October 28th, 2024, at 10:00 a.m.
What’s In Store?
The star of the show is Morpeko, making its debut in Pokémon GO. This Electric/Dark-type Pokémon introduces unique mechanics that you'll love when battling Team GO Rocket or in the GO Battle League.
Morpeko’s ability to switch between Full Belly Mode and Hangry Mode during battle, depending on the Charged Attack it uses, is fascinating. In Full Belly Mode, Morpeko can use Aura Wheel (Electric), a move with a powerful 100 power that also boosts the user’s Attack. Switch to Hangry Mode, and Aura Wheel becomes a Dark-type move, still packing the same 100-power punch and boosting your Attack.
During the Halloween event, your chances of encountering Morpeko increase, especially in the premium track of the GO Battle League. Post-event, Morpeko will remain available starting at Rank 16, though it will be more frequent on the premium side.
Happy Halloween In Pokémon GO-Style!
