Jak and Daxter: The Precursor Legacy's Misty Island: A Comprehensive Guide to Power Cells and Scout Flies

Misty Island, a location central to Jak and Daxter: The Precursor Legacy's narrative, presents a challenge and reward for players brave enough to explore its secrets. This guide details the acquisition of all Power Cells and Scout Flies on the island.

Reaching Misty Island

Before venturing to Misty Island, assist the fisherman in the Forbidden Jungle's river by catching 200 pounds of fish. This earns you a Power Cell and access to the Sandover Village speedboat, your transportation to Misty Island.

  1. The Sculptor's Muse

Your initial task: retrieve the Sculptor's Lost Muse. Located near the docks, this golden creature requires a chase. Utilize roll jumps and strategically break large bones to create pathways, intercepting the Muse during its turns. Once captured, return the Muse to the Sandover Village sculptor for another Power Cell (save this for later).

  1. Blue Eco and the Precursor Platform

Near the Muse's location, a platforming section with blue eco orbs leads to a Precursor Door (ignore it for now). Collect blue eco, then reach the Precursor Platform (see image 3). Activating the platform while charged with blue eco grants access to a Power Cell.

  1. The Dark Eco Pool Arena

Return to the area where your Misty Island adventure began. A Precursor Door (mentioned above) leads to an arena where waves of Lurkers attack. Use their dropped red eco to your advantage, and stay mobile to dodge explosives. Victory reveals stairs leading to the Dark Eco Pool and a Power Cell.

  1. The Lurker Ship

To the right of the arena exit lies a path to Misty Island's Bay and a Lurker Ship, accessible via a bridge. Climb the ship's right side to reach the top and claim another Power Cell.

  1. The Cannon

Ascend the ramp, dodging lurker-thrown logs (jump over rolling logs, walk under bouncing ones). Utilize side platforms for respite. Defeat the two Lurkers near the cannon for a Power Cell. Use the cannon to destroy metal boxes in the arena for additional Precursor Orbs.

  1. Balloon Lurkers and the Zoomer

Use the Zoomer (accessed via the trans-pad near the Lurker Ship) to eliminate five Balloon Lurkers in the bay. Careful use of brakes, acceleration, and hops is crucial to navigate mines and target Lurkers effectively. Five defeated Lurkers reward you with a Power Cell.

  1. Zoomer Power Cell

Ride the ramp (image 1), turn right, and navigate around the rock (image 2). Accelerate, hop near the edge, and launch yourself to collect Precursor Orbs and a Power Cell.

  1. Seven Scout Flies

Locate the seven Scout Flies:

  • Fly 1: During the Muse chase, use a seesaw and ground pound to reach a clifftop.
  • Flies 2 & 3: Near the arena door (before the blue eco section), traverse a crumbling path (see image above).
  • Fly 4: Left of the arena exit, use a seesaw to reach a cliff overlooking the bay.
  • Flies 5 & 6: On and near the Lurker Ship (one past the bridge, the other on a safe platform halfway up the log-ramp).
  • Fly 7: Near the top of the ramp used in step 7.

After collecting all Power Cells and Scout Flies, return the Muse to the Sculptor in Sandover Village to complete your Misty Island exploration.
