In *Monster Hunter Wilds*, tracking down resources like Sharp Fangs can be a game-changer for your crafting needs. These valuable materials are essential for forging early-game gear sets such as Chatacabra and Talioth armor, and you can start your hunt right from the beginning in the Windward Plains.

How to Get Sharp Fang in Monster Hunter Wilds

Before you set out, consider boosting your stats by cooking and eating a hearty meal.

Once you're in the Windward Plains, head east to Area 8, a vast region teeming with smaller monsters. Your primary target for Sharp Fangs will be the Gaijos, but keep an eye out for other potential sources as well.

Gaijos

Gaijos marked on a map in Monster Hunter WildsGaijos, small leviathan monsters resembling crocodiles with unique snouts, are your best bet for farming Sharp Fangs. They're usually found near or in the riverbeds of Area 8, often alone. Use the interactive map to locate them by looking for the purple diamonds near water sources.

Approach a Gaijos and take it down quickly with your weapon of choice—they're not too tough. After defeating one, carve its carcass to secure 1 x Sharp Fang. Gaijos are a guaranteed drop for Sharp Fangs, making them a prime target. There are typically four to five Gaijos in the Windward Plains when you first arrive, and you can repeatedly enter through the optional quests to farm more if needed.

Talioth

Carving Talioth carcasses might yield other items like Talioth Scales, but there's a chance you'll also get Sharp Fangs. Plus, hunting Talioths can help you complete the “The Desert is Demanding” quest, which requires you to kill 8 Talioths.
