Why would anyone consider sending their child to boarding school? Between peer pressure, loneliness, and the general air of snobbery, there's also the risk of dramatic incidents like someone being pushed out of a window. Of course, that's not typical everywhere, but it's certainly the case in inkle's new release, Expelled!.
In Expelled!, you step into the shoes of Verity Amersham, a seemingly innocent student at Miss Mulligatawney's School for Promising Girls in 1922. When a prefect is pushed out of a window, Verity finds herself accused of attempted murder. Now, with only one school day to clear her name, you must navigate through the school where characters move and act independently, creating a race against time.
Your mission is to clear Verity's name by any means necessary. You can choose to uncover the real culprit, frame someone else, or even resort to physical force with your hockey stick. The choice is entirely up to you, making each playthrough unique and engaging.
It's easy to recommend Expelled!, especially given the acclaim it has received, such as Catherine Dellosa's glowing review. Inkle, the creators behind my favorite mobile game, 80 Days, and the thrilling visual novel Overboard!, have once again struck gold with Expelled!.
While Verity may appear less sinister than some of inkle's past protagonists, you have the freedom to play the game as straightforwardly as possible, pin the crime on another, or unleash your inner teenage vigilante. And there's a twist: Verity might not be as innocent as she initially seems. You'll need to play Expelled! to uncover the full story.
