In Path of Exile 2, the Currency Exchange system is a pivotal feature that allows players to convert their lower-tier currencies into higher-tier ones, essential for trading with other players or using as crafting materials. However, navigating the ever-changing Currency Exchange rates can be challenging due to their constant fluctuation based on the in-game market dynamics. The only reliable method to stay updated with the current rates for different currency combinations is to check them directly within the game.
How to Check Currency Exchange Rates in PoE 2
To access the Currency Exchange, players need to speak with the gambling vendor available in any Act after reaching Cruel Difficulty. Once in the Currency Exchange menu, you'll encounter two boxes designated for currencies.
To check the exchange rate for a specific currency, start by clicking on the left box. Here, you can select the currency you're interested in acquiring or the one you wish to exchange your current currencies for. For instance, if you want to see the current price of a Divine Orb, click the left item tab and choose Divine Orb from the available list.
Next, click on the right item tab to view a list of your available currencies, which includes those in your Inventory and Stashes. Continuing the example, to determine the cost of a Divine Orb in Exalted Orbs, select Exalted Orb from the list of currencies in your Stash.
The conversion ratio between the two selected currencies will be displayed between the item selection boxes. If you're aiming to acquire a Divine Orb with Exalted Orbs, the number of Exalted Orbs required will be shown on the right-hand side of the ratio.
This process is reversible as well. If you possess a Divine Orb and want to convert it into Exalted Orbs, simply request Exalted Orb from the "Want" list and select your Divine Orb in the "Have" list.
It's crucial to remember that the Currency Exchange rates are constantly updating, meaning the conversion rate can significantly vary within hours. Regularly checking these rates while playing can help you secure a favorable deal on a powerful currency item.
However, not all currency combinations will be available for exchange. If a particular combination, such as trading a Divine Orb for Scrolls of Wisdom, is not feasible, no ratio will be displayed, and the exchange will not be valid.
