Ada Lovelace and Simon Bolivar as Paid DLCs

Civilization 7 enthusiasts have much to look forward to, with Firaxis Games announcing four new content releases slated for March. Just days before the game's official release, the developers have given players a sneak peek into what's coming in early and late March. The updates are categorized into three distinct groups: Content Collections (paid DLCs), Free Updates, and Events & Challenges.

In March, players can expect the introduction of Ada Lovelace and Simon Bolivar as part of the paid DLCs. These additions promise to bring fresh gameplay dynamics and historical depth to the game.

Moreover, the free updates scheduled for March will include the intriguing Bermuda Triangle and the majestic Mount Everest, enhancing the game's world with new natural wonders to explore and conquer.

Looking beyond March, Firaxis Games has teased the community with plans for two more leaders, four civilizations, and four additional world wonders. These forthcoming features, along with new events and challenges, will further enrich the Civ 7 experience. While specific release dates for these additions have not been disclosed, the developers have assured players that more content is on the horizon, with releases planned for October 2025 and beyond.

In addition to the immediate post-launch content, Firaxis Games has outlined a list of future updates that were unable to make the initial launch but are in development. These updates include:

  • Adding Teams to multiplayer
  • Expanding the number of players in multiplayer mode to 8
  • Allowing players to pick "starting and ending Age"
  • Creating "a wider variety of map types"
  • Adding hotseat in multiplayer

While no specific release dates have been set for these updates, the developers have confirmed that teams are already working to bring these enhancements to players as soon as possible. This roadmap not only promises a rich and evolving gameplay experience for Civ 7 but also demonstrates Firaxis Games' commitment to keeping the game fresh and engaging for its community.
