Vampire: The Masquerade – Bloodlines 2's release has been postponed once more, now slated for October 2025. The official announcement was made via the game's Twitter (X) account on March 26, accompanied by a video update.
In the video, Bloodlines 2 Executive Producer Marco Behrmann shared insights into the current development status. He stated, "The status of the game right now is that the game is done. We are currently working on bug fixing, stability, and performance so we can deliver the best experience to you guys once it releases."
Paradox has been actively engaging with the community through Dev Diaries, which have provided detailed updates on characters, stories, and mechanics. However, to prioritize the game's quality, all Dev Diaries will be paused, allowing the developers to focus on enhancing the game's overall experience.
First Revealed in 2019
The journey of Bloodlines 2 began with its initial reveal in March 2019, originally planned for a March 2020 launch. The game was developed by Hardsuit Labs at the time. However, the first delay was announced in October 2019, pushing the release to an unspecified date in 2020, and then further to 2021.
During this period, the project saw multiple lead changes. In February 2021, Paradox Interactive made the significant decision to part ways with Hardsuit Labs, bringing in The Chinese Room as the new developer. Under The Chinese Room, the game's release was rescheduled for late 2024, then moved to the first half of 2025, and now finally to October 2025.
