Previous Adaptations and Ongoing Projects:
PlayStation Productions' success builds upon previous adaptations, including the Uncharted film (2022) starring Tom Holland and the Gran Turismo film (2023), both of which performed strongly at the box office. The Twisted Metal series (Peacock, 2023) completed its second season in late 2024, though a release date is yet to be announced.
Further projects in development include film adaptations of Days Gone and a sequel to the Uncharted film, along with a God of War television series.
The continued expansion of PlayStation Productions suggests a strong commitment to bringing beloved PlayStation franchises to new audiences through diverse media. The success of these adaptations will likely influence future decisions on which games receive similar treatment.
