Monster Hunter Wilds is gearing up for its first Title Update, which introduces quests designed to encourage competition through fast clear times. To maintain the integrity of the game, Capcom has issued a stern warning against cheating and the use of external tools. The company emphasized its commitment to providing a fun and fair experience for all players by stating on its X/Twitter account: "To ensure a fun and fair experience for our players, we will take action against accounts participating in fraudulent ranking activity, such as the use of cheating or external tools. Accounts deemed to be in breach of this may be suspended, or have restrictions placed on them, such as being unable to receive rewards from these quests."
Capcom also highlighted that players who engage in multiplayer hunts with cheaters could face consequences, including invalid quest completion times and the revocation of rewards for the entire party. The company advised players to be cautious and avoid playing with those suspected of engaging in prohibited activities. They urged players to report any instances of cheating they encounter during quests.
The new quests will offer enticing rewards, including cosmetic pendants. Some rewards will be distributed to all participants, while others will be awarded based on Completion Time or the hunter's ranking. This makes Capcom's stringent measures against cheating understandable, as they aim to ensure that rewards and completion times remain fair and legitimate.
The Time-Based Competition Quests will be launched with Title Update 1 and can be accessed through the new Arena Quest Counter in the Grand Hub in Suja. To participate, players must first complete a special tutorial mission to unlock the Grand Hub. It's recommended that players head to the Grand Hub as soon as Title Update 1 becomes available tomorrow in Monster Hunter Wilds.
