The FreeStyle LibreLink app is officially approved for use with both the FreeStyle Libre and FreeStyle Libre 2 sensors, providing a convenient way to monitor your glucose levels directly from your smartphone. With the FreeStyle Libre 2 sensor, you can benefit from automatic glucose readings updated every minute and receive timely alarms for low or high blood sugar levels. [1][2]
Utilizing the FreeStyle LibreLink app, you can:
- View your current glucose result, trend arrow, and glucose history
- Receive low or high glucose alarms with FreeStyle Libre 2 sensors [2]
- Access reports such as time spent in target range and daily trends
- Share your data, with your consent, with your doctor and family [3]
Compatibility with Smartphones
The compatibility of the FreeStyle LibreLink app may vary depending on your smartphone and its operating system. For a comprehensive list of compatible devices, visit http://FreeStyleLibre.com.
Using Your App and Reader with the Same Sensor
Alarms for the FreeStyle Libre 2 can be issued either on the player or on your phone, but not simultaneously on both. To receive alarms on your phone, you must start the sensor using the app. Conversely, to receive alarms on the FreeStyle Libre 2 reader, you need to start the sensor with the reader. Once started with the reader, you can still scan the sensor using your phone.
Please note that the app and the reader do not share data. To ensure comprehensive data tracking, it's recommended to scan your sensor every 8 hours with the device you are using. Failure to do so may result in incomplete reports. You can upload and view data from all your devices on LibreView.com.
