Taiko-san Daijiro

This application is designed for playing TJA files from the PC software "Taiko Sanjiro 2" on your Android device. Due to the variety of Android devices available, we regret that we cannot test on all models and thus do not support devices that fail to start the application.

Please note that we do not provide assistance with obtaining TJA files or skins. We appreciate your understanding in this matter.

How to Add a Song

1. Initial Setup: When you first start the application, a "TJA" folder will be created in the root directory of your device's storage or SD card.

2. Organizing Songs: Create a genre folder within the "TJA" folder and place your TJA file inside it.

3. Genre Classification: If a genre.ini file is absent from the genre folder, the genre will default to "Uncategorized".

4. Score Saving Issues: If you're using Android 4.4 or a later version and encounter issues with saving high scores, please be aware that this is a known limitation.

5. Record Location: Navigate to the settings and select the "record location" to specify your preferred package.

How to Apply Skins

• Compatibility: The application supports skins from "Taiko Sanjiro 2", though some features may not be fully implemented.
• Incompatibility: Skins from the original "Taiko-san Jiro" are not supported.
• Default Settings: Refer to the theme-default/default.csv file for default skin settings.
• Performance Note: Be aware that performance may vary depending on your device model and the complexity of the skin data.

Genre.ini File Details

For a folder to be recognized as a genre folder, it must contain a genre.ini file with the following content:

• Android Security Update: Due to recent Android security enhancements, the application can no longer access folders outside of its designated app-specific directories. If you've updated the app, please use a file management application to move the default "/TJA" folder to "Android/data/com.daijiro.taiko2/files/TJA".

• Bug Fixes: Various bugs have been addressed to improve the overall user experience.
