Punch Out is an upcoming deckbuilding card battler from Goat Games.
It features over 300 cards and seven unique species to choose from.
It’s now in pre-registration for iOS and Android.
When it comes to games with similar—or dangerously close—names, one of the most confusing scenarios is when a title on a completely different platform shares the name of a well-known franchise. Unrelated but noteworthy, Punch Out: CCG Duel is a fresh deckbuilding card battler from Goat Games, now available for pre-registration on iOS and Android.
Goat, the team behind titles like Dungeon Hunter 6 and King’s Throne, has created a fantasy card battler with over 300 cards and countless strategic combinations. Whether you’re selecting from a vast pool of cards, choosing one of the seven distinct fantasy races, or deploying multi-racial heroes that boost your allied cards, there’s plenty of depth to explore.
Another standout feature is the equipment system, letting you customize your heroes just like in a classic RPG. Each level presents a fresh, diverse lineup to test your tactics, while you can battle other players online or team up to tackle challenging dungeons.
One-two punch
Despite the confusing naming, Punch Out: CCG Duel looks genuinely compelling. With clean, minimalist art, a massive card roster, and a wide array of creatures and species to battle or ally with, it delivers everything you’d want in a genre release.
At the same time, Goat Games might be getting ahead of themselves by touting large-money tournaments before the game even launches. We’ll need to see how well Punch Out: CCG Duel resonates with players before those plans come to fruition.
