Ubisoft Reportedly Working On Next "AAAA" Game
It looks like Ubisoft is crafting their next major hit, as revealed by a Junior Sound Designer’s LinkedIn profile, shared by X (formerly Twitter) user Timur222. The designer, who has been part of Ubisoft Indian Studios for a year and 10 months, mentioned:
"Responsible for creating Sound design, SFX, and foley for the unannounced AAA and AAAA game projects," as noted in their job description under the Experience section.
While specific details about this ambitious project remain undisclosed, it's noteworthy that the employee mentioned working on both AAA and AAAA projects. The term "quadruple-A" was introduced by Ubisoft CEO Yves Guillemot during the launch of their pirate-themed game, Skull and Bones, to highlight its enormous budget and extensive development cycle. Despite its AAAA designation, Skull and Bones received mixed feedback upon release.
This latest revelation underscores Ubisoft's continued commitment to producing high-caliber "quadruple-A" games, suggesting that their upcoming titles will match the scale and ambition of Skull and Bones.
