A recent Helldivers 2 update, including the highly anticipated Omens of Tyranny expansion (shadow-dropped at the 2024 Game Awards), has significantly boosted player numbers on PS5. This update introduced the long-awaited Illuminate enemy faction, a 4x4 Fast Recon Vehicle, and new urban warfare maps, delighting players. With a rumored Killzone crossover also on the horizon, Helldivers 2 appears poised for continued success in 2025.
