Marvel Snap's Amazing Spider-Season Swings into Action!
September brings a brand-new season to Marvel Snap (Free), themed around everyone's favorite web-slinger and his extensive rogues gallery: the Amazing Spider-Season! This season introduces a game-changing mechanic: Activate abilities. Unlike "On Reveal," Activate abilities let you choose when to trigger a card's effect, offering strategic depth and counterplay options.

Season Pass Card: Symbiote Spider-Man
This 4-cost, 6-power card boasts an Activate ability: absorb the lowest-cost card at the location and copy its text. If the copied card has an On Reveal effect, it triggers again! Expect some wild combos, particularly with Galactus. This card is a potential powerhouse, but balance changes might be in its future.
New Cards:
- Silver Sable: A 1-cost, 1-power card with an On Reveal ability that steals 2 power from the top card of your opponent's deck. A solid card on its own, and even stronger in specific deck builds.
- Madame Web: An Ongoing ability lets you move one card at her location to another location once per turn. Her strategic potential is high.
- Arana: Another 1-cost, 1-power card with an Activate ability. Activate to move the next card you play to the right and give it +2 Power. A key addition to move-based decks.
- Scarlet Spider (Ben Reilly): A 4-cost, 5-power card with an Activate ability that spawns an identical clone at another location. Perfect for power multiplication strategies.
New Locations:
- Brooklyn Bridge: A classic Spider-Man location with a twist: you can't play cards there two turns in a row. This requires creative deck building and strategic placement.
- Otto's Lab: This location mirrors Otto Octavius himself. The next card you play there pulls a card from your opponent's hand onto the location, adding an element of surprise and disruption.
This Spider-themed season introduces exciting new cards and a dynamic new ability. The Activate mechanic adds a layer of strategic depth, promising fresh and innovative gameplay.
