Pokémon GO Fest 2025: A Global Celebration
The Pokémon GO Fest 2025 will be a three-day extravaganza held across three global cities in May and June:
- Osaka, Japan: May 29 - June 1
- Jersey City, New Jersey, USA: June 6 - June 8
- Paris, France: June 13 - June 15

A World of Pokémon Awaits
Pokémon GO Fest is renowned for its exclusive in-game items, enhanced gameplay, and special bonuses. In-person events offer unique experiences, city-specific encounters, and exclusive merchandise, including habitat-themed sets and community hubs. Team lounges provide opportunities to connect with fellow trainers. The event's highlight is the appearance of rare Pokémon, such as Dusk Mane Necrozma, Dawn Wings Necrozma, and Marshadow (seen in 2024), and increased Shiny Pokémon encounter rates.
January Events: Fashion Week and Shadow Raid Day
Beyond the Pokémon GO Fest announcement, Niantic revealed two exciting January events:
Fashion Week: Taken Over (January 15th - 19th, 2025, local time): Rescue Shadow Palkia from Team GO Rocket and Giovanni. Encounter the debuting Shroodle and Grafaiai from 12 km Eggs. Other Shadow Pokémon, including Snivy and Tepig, will also appear. Keep an eye out for a fashionably dressed Croagunk during snapshots!
Shadow Raid Day (January 19th, 2025, 2:00 pm - 5:00 pm, local time): Challenge Five-Star Shadow Raids to capture Shadow Ho-Oh. A $5 USD ticket grants eight additional Raid Passes, increased chances for Rare Candy XL, 2x Stardust, and 50% more XP from Raids. Shiny Ho-Oh will have increased appearance rates, and lucky trainers can teach their captured Ho-Oh the signature move, Sacred Fire, using a Charged TM.
