Role-playing games (RPGs) have been a cornerstone of the video game industry for over three decades. Each month brings a fresh wave of notable RPG releases, ranging from highly anticipated AAA titles like Starfield, Lies of P, Hogwarts Legacy, Octopath Traveler II, and Wo Long: Fallen Dynasty, to more specialized offerings such as Labyrinth of Galleria: The Moon Society, 8-Bit Adventures II, and Little Witch Nobeta. The RPG landscape is constantly evolving with new adventures on the horizon.

This pre-release hype can be difficult to manage, resulting in occasional disappointments. However, when a game successfully meets its potential, the payoff is truly rewarding. Updated December 24, 2024 by Mark Sammut: This article has been updated to include two additional upcoming RPGs. One is slated for a March 2025 release, while the other lacks a confirmed release year.
