Unlocking the Secrets of the Lion's Crest in Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2
This guide details how to initiate and complete the bonus quest, "The Lion's Crest," available to those who pre-ordered Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2. This quest rewards players with valuable items.
Starting the Lion's Crest Quest:
Upon completing the tutorial and gaining access to the open world, locate the scribe Gaibl in Troskowitz. He will provide you with a riddle and the smithing recipe for Brunswick's polearm. You'll need to gather the necessary materials yourself, but crafting can be done at the blacksmith's forge.
Solving the Riddle:
The riddle reads:
"Take your leave of crone and maiden, standing tall behind the gates, boldly go towards true midnight, in caverns cold your prize awaits. Pass through the hall of forest kings, hidden deep from hunters’ gaze, standing tall two guards of stone, behind who yearned for treasure lays. Between then stands a mighty rock, a subtle niche yet deeper still, a place to give one’s heart to God, behold my armour gleaming still."
This cryptic message leads you to Trosky Castle. Exit through the northern gates and head north, into the forest.
Follow the path, watching the left side for rocky formations with crevices. These lead to a cave containing a chapel. Examine the cross near the rock to find the first piece of Brunswick's Armour and two treasure maps.
Locating the Treasure Maps:
- Map 1: Continue west along the road to a crossroads. Head north into the woods to a wolf den; the armor is in a bag near the trees above.
- Map 2: Travel to the Vidlak Pond outpost. Behind the fisherman's house, find a large rock formation along the cliffs. A chest near a cross contains the next piece of armor.
- Map 3: Fast travel to Zhelejov. Leave the tavern and cross two bridges towards Tachov. After the second bridge, take a small path to the river and forest. Follow it to a hill; the armor is in a bag near a large tree at the top.
- Map 4: Travel to the hill between the Nomads’ Camp and Bozhena’s Hut. Locate rocks with a cross on top to find the final piece of Brunswick's armor.
